Her life is a perfect example of how democracy, human rights, and environmental protection are of the same breed. After she started the Green Belt movement, her husband swiftly divorced her, for being “too strong minded for a woman,” (Wiki).

She’s an absolute boss for everything worth fighting for. But at the same time, is one of many worth remembering.

I’ve been mindlessly using it to cover things while I use the microwave, as well as for short-term storage (like chilling a dough before use) that a tupperware would be just fine for. Also, I could just put a kitchen towel over the bowl when waiting for yeast breads to rise… thanks for making me think about this!
